27th September 2002 - Death, Dying & Euthanasia.

Venerable Wuling was invited by a hospital in Melbourne to speak on “Death, Dying & Euthanasia - A Buddhist Perspective.” About thirty-five members of the nursing staff and palliative caregivers attended the talk. Questions were raised regarding practical issues of caring for the dying. All were captivated by Ven Wuling's sense of humour, down-to-earth outlook, and her calming presence. It was truly a memorable event for all who attended.

The cycle of violence faced by our world today and their causes. Venerable Wuling talked about the universal law of cause and effect, and how can we achieve change and end this cycle of violence by changing how we think. Something that is sorely needed in our turbulent times.

Taming the Monkey Mind

Greed, anger, and delusion are the 3 poisons within us which fuel our wandering thoughts. How can we tame, train, and transform our wild mind? Venerable Wuling talked about our ordinary minds and the true nature of our minds. For those seeking serenity within, seeking a stress-free mind, this is certainly worth a listen.

May all beings find the way to end
suffering and sadness.

May they find within themselves
the peace and goodness
that is already there.

May we joyfully dwell forever
in the pure land of the Buddha
that lies within all of us.

Namo Amitabha!

The generous person gives, not just what they have, but of who they are.
