Confidence
I suffered from lack of self-confidence
Always having doubts about my creative ability
Always seeking for approval
This leads to my own afflictions
With those I seek out a response
The relationship always starts well
As time passes, I discover
Inconsistencies and discrepancies
As I start to question
Their control seems to be is threatened
Suddenly, my same actions become the target of disapproval
A challenge to their authority
My weakness is exposed
My strength and confidence is tested
I am not facing my demons head on!
Master, Master,
How do I become confident?
How do I believe in my self?
My disciple,
If everything that you do
Is for the benefits of others
Not for seeking for praise or approval
And not for self gain
Any good work done is the good fortune of all beings
Any misfortune is a lesson for self-growth
You will become confident
As you have nothing to gain
And nothing to loose!
