On The Move
Dear home
We are going to say goodbye
After 17 years
Memories go through my mind
Sounds of laughter, fun, crying, screaming
As we journeyed through life
Parking our existence in you - our home
I am attached to you
Trying to hold on to you
As a way of holding on to past memories
Like a child hanging on to the security blanket
Refusing to let go
How do I say goodbye to you
How can I bid farewell to a big chunk of my life?
But time once gone can never return!
Our life style has changed
What suited us then
Is no longer as appropriate now
The main reason for moving on
Let go
Let go of this home
Let go of our emotional attachment
It doesn't require forgetting about the good times
As memories are always in our heart
And not attached to any object
Let in a family
For a chance to grow and develop
Like we used to
Let the house be a place
Where souls are nurtured while journeying through life
Let peace, laughter, fun and spirituality be rediscovered
In the place
We call HOME
