Departure
I see the body
Lying in the open cascade
She looks sound asleep
Such naturalness in her facial colour tone
She is leaving the world behind
She is leaving her body behind
She is leaving her loved-ones, relatives and friends behind
She is leaving all behind
Sounds of chanting surround the room
Echoing in all our hearts
Echoing to all beings
The room is filled with people
Praying for her soul's smooth transition to the next world
Reminding her to be mindful of Amitabha
Praying for her rebirth in the Lotus pond
Sounds of chanting bring me some light
Reaffirming my practice of Mindfulness of Amitabha
