To meditate
To heal spiritually
To experience the journeys of masters before me
To experience the emergence of my true nature

I've since reached a new understanding
Confronting our raw nature
Requires a skilled mind
It is a challenge not to be taken lightly
We need the right guidance
We need suitable methodology
Problems arising from the mind
Can't be solved
By retreating alone
To retreat is not to run away from our problems
Rather to face them head on
To retreat is the retreat of our mind
From desires
From anger and resentment
From jealousy
From arrogance
To retreat is
To forgive ourselves and others
To accept ourselves and others
To discover the reasons for our disturbance
To apply the suitable remedy
Stillness can then be restored
