We went to the bush
Climbing our favourite mountain
Daughter charging ahead
With stops here and there
Looking at plants, little animals along the way
Husband followed closely behind
Admiring the surround
I trailed behind
Leaving plenty of spaces in between yet remaining visible
It was a beautiful trail in the bush
Mountainous at some parts
Trees and growth everywhere
Beautiful birds singing
Their sound came and went
It was tranquil
It was serene
I started to remember Amitabha
I started to say Amitabha with each step that I took
Left foot out, Amitabha
Right foot out, Amitabha
It went on and on
Amitabha, Amitabha, Amitabha
We had walked and walked
While I chanted in silence
I started to hear from afar the same tune of Amitabha
It came from the land
It came form the bush
It came from the horizon
I stopped chanting
The sound was there
I continued chanting
The sound was there
Now the tune was everywhere
My beloved nature,
We had come to you in peace
We had entered your peace
You had resonated with our thoughts
You had responded with serenity
You had responded with peace
